Biography

Sharmila Manjeshwar, PhD, MB(ASCP)CM joined Phase Scientific as Director R&D in 2022.

Dr. Manjeshwar has over 20 years of molecular diagnostic development experience, including assay development from concept stage to clinical validation of LDT, CDx and IUO assays on a variety of molecular and immunohistochemistry platforms. In addition, she has experience with the launch and scaling of diagnostic tests into commercial clinical laboratories as well as implementation into global clinical trials and management of high-throughput testing in high-complexity CLIA laboratories.

Prior to joining Phase Scientific, Dr. Manjeshwar served in management and technical leadership roles in molecular assay development and clinical laboratory testing & management at Navigate BioPharma/Novartis, Carlsbad, CA, Abraxis/NantWorks, Costa Mesa CA and InterGenetics Inc. Oklahoma City, USA. Dr. Manjeshwar received her Ph.D. in Cellular & Molecular Pathology with a focus in cancer biology from the University of Toronto, Canada. She is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology in Molecular Biology and holds a Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist license in the State of California.
